The Fairy Tale Fair!

If you haven’t heard about The Fairy Tale Fair by now then where have you been!?… The first one was in the summer and it is back for a festive special on Saturday the 24th November 2012! I am the organiser of the fair, and had great feedback on the last fair. It is a lot of work planning it all but hopefully it will all be worth it and lots of you will turn up on the day! I will also have a stall there selling my usual range as well as some special edition items just for the fair! Read on to find out more about the fair…

The fair is a real community event, which welcomes families and all ages to come along and enjoy the festive creations and treats! All the stall holders are local Brighton or Sussex makers and we hope that you can come along to support them and their wonderful creations. It is also a unique chance to purchase handmade, one off Christmas gifts that you certainly won’t find on the high street! Avoid the stress and hustle and bustle of town and have a great day out with us instead! You can even enjoy tea and festive cake on vintage china while you are there!

The fair will comprise of 30-35 stalls selling a range of handmade crafts. These include jewellery, knitted items, cute characters, cushions, cards, prints, candles, children’s clothes, accessories, vintage style items, hair pieces, bags, decorations, beads and much more. There will also be face painting, beauty, and Alice in Wonderland themed cakes, festive treats with tea and coffee served in the vintage tearoom. Perfect Christmas gifts for all!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone- from Buddy the black cat!

Jewellery Shoot Sneak Peek

Here are a couple of behind the scenes pics of a photo shoot we did yesterday for my jewellery. The make up was done by Kate at Powder Beauty and the finished photos should be ready in about a week, so keep an eye out for these!

With thanks to Powder Beauty, a fabulous vintage inspired salon in Brighton,  visit their site here: http://powderbeauty.co.uk

Cat Nails!

A couple of quick pictures of my black cat nails I had done at Powder Beauty in Brighton!

The nail art was done by Lucy at Powder Beauty and the cats on thumbs have necklaces on! Visit Powder’s site here: http://powderbeauty.co.uk and more photos will follow soon from a photo shoot we did for my jewellery yesterday!

Belle’s Vintage Wedding Fair

Had a little look around Belle’s vintage wedding fair in Hove today. We mainly went to get some inspiration for our next fair and see the lovely local vintage sellers.

There was lots of wonderful bunting, decorations, cakes, jewellery and more!

Pom poms seem to be a big trend at the moment. We got lots of comments about the ones  at our fair as well. They really do brighten up the room and are a simple, yet pretty addition to any event!

Yummy rainbow cake on vintage china from Vintage Events! Yum yum!

Cats With Thumbs Advert

This advert makes me smile! Following on with the ‘cats with thumbs’ slogan of the last Cravendale ad, this advert focuses on the cats trying to take over the world and basically ‘catnap’ all the milkmen!

If you haven’t seen the advert yet, watch it here at milkmatters.co.uk.

I also really like the branding and style of the Cravendale Milk Matters site. The scrapbook college style works well…

I even got a reply from Bertrum the cat himself on Twitter (via my Fairy Tale Fair account)! I sent a pic of my cat Buddy, who of course wants to be part of the cats with thumbs gang- and according to Bertrum he is in the gang! And yes I am excited about talking to a fictional cat on Twitter!

I hope you enjoyed The Fairy Tale Fair, and I had a lot of fun organising it! We are planning another one for November which will be our Christmas fair- so keep an eye out for this!
