The fair is a real community event, which welcomes families and all ages to come along and enjoy the festive creations and treats! All the stall holders are local Brighton or Sussex makers and we hope that you can come along to support them and their wonderful creations. It is also a unique chance to purchase handmade, one off Christmas gifts that you certainly won’t find on the high street! Avoid the stress and hustle and bustle of town and have a great day out with us instead! You can even enjoy tea and festive cake on vintage china while you are there!

The fair will comprise of 30-35 stalls selling a range of handmade crafts. These include jewellery, knitted items, cute characters, cushions, cards, prints, candles, children’s clothes, accessories, vintage style items, hair pieces, bags, decorations, beads and much more. Under the Sea!

What do you all think of this? I was asked by the lovely Ilona Drew, of I Drew This, to take part in her flick ‘n’ mix blog- where three illustrators take part to create the head, body and legs then Ilona puts them together and we see what weird and wonderful creations we get. This weeks theme is under the sea and this is what we got….

Taking part also this week was Ilona (tail) herself and Nicky Ovitt (head). I created the body. I think this is a fab idea for a blog and am proud to of been asked to be part of it!

Had a little look around Belle’s vintage wedding fair in Hove today. We mainly went to get some inspiration for our next fair and see the lovely local vintage sellers.

There was lots of wonderful bunting, decorations, cakes, jewellery and more!

Pom poms seem to be a big trend at the moment. We got lots of comments about the ones  at our fair as well. They really do brighten up the room and are a simple, yet pretty addition to any event!

Yummy rainbow cake on vintage china from Vintage Events! Yum yum!

Vintage Nation Brighton

Yesterday was the Vintage Nation in Brighton- which looked amazing- so sad I missed it! This is what was going on: “Raid the rails of the affordable marketplace, shake your tail feather in the burlesque lounge, top-up your tan on the man-made beach and knock-back beverages on the champagne terrace; featuring fashion, dancing, coconut shys and donkey rides, we’re clebrating sixty years of Britain at it’s best!”

If you missed it like me you can catch up via their Facebook page by clicking here.

Pulse London

Today is the start of Pulse London- a trade show with lots of lovely card and craft people and companies exhibiting- many of them for the first time!

Pulse describes itself as:

“Pulse offers you the right mix this summer, delivering a perfect blend of new designers and trusted favourites to suit your buying needs – at the UK’s only summer trade event. Pulse’s unique summer buying time allows you to source and buy what your customers want right now, in the season, as well as your long orders for the rest of the year.

At Pulse, you can find unique and original¬†items from the UK’s leading young designers within¬†Launchpad. Spot the latest innovative¬†products and cutting edge¬†designs from 160 of the latest talents, all exclusive to Pulse.”

I was hoping to visit but unfortunately I just don’t have time at the moment (busy planning The Fairy Tale Fair), I am planning on visiting next year and hopefully exhibiting one day!

Good luck to those exhibiting!
