Here are a few photos of my stall at Covent Garden. The stall holders there were lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately the weather meant it was a quiet day but it was a good experience all the same and I am pleased I have been accepted into such a prestigious venue.

I was hoping to visit but unfortunately I just don’t have time at the moment (busy planning The Fairy Tale Fair), I am planning on visiting next year and hopefully exhibiting one day!
Yesterday I visited the V & A museum in London to see the British Design exhibition on- there was lots to see. Unfortunately I couldn’t take pics but here are a couple of works that I liked which were on display…
On my little London trip this week I was lucky enough to enjoy a chocolate afternoon tea at the Hilton on Park Lane! The cakes looked too good to eat, even the plate was edible as it was made of chocolate!
Hearing more and more talk about the Jubilee as the days and weeks go by- only a couple of months to go now! Don’t forget my ‘Fit For A Queen’ Jubilee range and ‘This is London Calling’ range are both available now.
They will be available at the artists open houses in May, as well as the Makers Boutique on the 2nd June. You can also contact me for special orders. Union Jacks and bunting at the ready!!
I have now published my Greeting Card Gallery of all my designs, including my limited edition 2012 ranges ‘Fit for A Queen’ and ‘This is London Calling’. All cards are available now. Contact me if you would like to place an order. They will all be available to buy at the Brighton Spring Craftaganza and the May Artists Open Houses, as well as other Brighton outlets. See the Events page for all the details and updates.
Retro style card design evoking memories of trips to the seaside. Part of my ‘Fit for a Queen’ jubilee range. The photo in the centre was taken in the early 1950’s and features my mum and aunts on the beach in sussex.
As promised here is my ‘Fit for a Queen’ card range. I have designed these as special edition cards for the Queen’s diamond jubilee in June 2012. I will upload the images to the gallery by the end of the week so the designs can be seen closer. If you are interested in purchasing any of the designs get in touch via the details on the ‘say hello’ page.
My sketches I scanned in to make up the card design. I wanted to make the corgi the focus of the card, and make the corgi a simplified style to get more of a iconic feel rather than realistic.
I then added more sketches, traditional British colours, and material texture in the background. I also used the corgi character in the repeat pattern design below…
I wanted the design to have a retro iconic feel to it, and combine the digital colours with the sketched coloured pencil elements. These two designs are part of a series of 6 special edition Jubilee 2012 cards I am working on.
Trend Bible area for latest trends for 2012/13 in stationary…
They are predicting patriot themes, as you may expect, with the Queen’s jubilee and the olympics. They expect iconic British references such as postage stamps and buildings. Trends also predicted are reds, monotype and papercrafts. There was defiantly a strong presence of hand crafted elements throughout Top Drawer, which I think is always a good thing! It’s nice to see designs individually crafted with personal touches, especially in the greetings/ stationary industries.
Yesterday I visited Top Drawer exhibition in Earls Court, London. There was so much to see didn’t get time to see everything but of what I did see was brilliant! Spent most of the day having a look around the greetings, stationary, children’s and gift sections! Spoke to some lovely people on the stalls as well. Pics to follow, and more posts soon on my favorite stands, so keep checking back!
EntranceDisplays on the way in Nice bit of typography on the walls!Love this pop-up/ cut out style!

Thanks to all involved at Top Drawer and hope it goes well for all the exhibitors!
