Twitter & Facebook Competition!

Today I am launching an exciting competition in conjunction with The Fairy Tale Fair, which is this Saturday the 18th Aug!

The Fairy Tale Fair would love to make 1,000 Twitter followers before the day of the fair and to help them get there I am giving away one of my special edition ‘Buddy the Cat’ necklaces! The necklace is hand designed by me, then laser cut in mirror. It has an 18″ silver plated chain and comes complete in a purple velvet pouch!

If The Fairy Tale Fair make 1,000 followers on their Twitter by 8pm this Friday the 17th August 2012 one lucky winner will win Buddy! To enter simply Follow The Fairy Tale Fair on Twitter, become a Fan on Facebook or if you are already a follower/fan just share or RT one of our competition status’!

Vintage Nation Brighton

Yesterday was the Vintage Nation in Brighton- which looked amazing- so sad I missed it! This is what was going on: “Raid the rails of the affordable marketplace, shake your tail feather in the burlesque lounge, top-up your tan on the man-made beach and knock-back beverages on the champagne terrace; featuring fashion, dancing, coconut shys and donkey rides, we’re clebrating sixty years of Britain at it’s best!”

If you missed it like me you can catch up via their Facebook page by clicking here.

Who hasn’t updated their Facebook page yet?…

Facebook profiles are changing on the 30th March 2012, so if you haven’t already done so now is the time to start thinking about it! The new timeline layout is a big change from the previous layout. Welcome pages and tabs are no more and cover images, featured posts and milestones are among the new additions. Brands and designers should make the most of the new layouts. See some examples below of creative cover images…

What Does Britain Love?- T-Mobile Ad

This is the branding for a new T-mobile add- What does Britain Love? I love this random collage style. View the ad on YouTube here.

The Facebook branding is also nice, I like the cats! Then again, I always like cats! I’m sure this is the start of many British themed adds this year but it made me smile all the same!

Flossy Teacake

Wanted to share this lovely work with everyone by artist Flossy Teacake. I came across her work after she liked my Facebook page and I love it! It’s so detailed and delicate and I love the vintage feel to it. It’s also nice to see someone else who loves handmade stuff like me!

In her own words: ‘I love nothing more than to play with my imagination and childhood memories through mixing and combining materials, which develop into curious 2D and 3D illustrations.’

I want it all! Take a look at her website by clicking here!
